Search eBay or amazon auctions or yahoo auctions using the words rhinestone and tiara, you may find a great bargain.

Glitter application: dip a paintbrush (or your finger) in some sort of gel (hair will do), you can buy cheapo glitter gels for this, then dip the brush or finger into a container of glitter (purchased cheaply at craft stores, fine is best) and paint on. It may be easier in some cases to cover the area you want to glitter with the gel, then put glitter on it.

If you are 100% new to sewing, try the Sewing for Dummies or Quilting for Dummies books to start with, it's very likely you can find both at your local free public library, I did. Of course you can buy them if you want, they're $20 each new. Read through the one that applies to your project once and then purchase a good complete guide to sewing, such as the Readers Digest one, or Singer one. You may be able to find any of these books cheap on eBay also.
