Encyclopedia
of Fairies - Katharine Briggs |
|
|
Format:
Paperback
Publication Date: 1978
Occult and Metaphysics Editor's Recommended
Book, 10/01/96:
Perhaps she should have called it "Everything You Wanted
to Know about Fairies, but Were Afraid to Ask." This
book covers every type of "little people" from abbey
lubbers to Young Tam Lin. Not just the tiny, translucent
winged pixies of popular art, but brownies, goblins
and bogies, even larger creatures like dragons and mermaids.
Exhaustive in its coverage, while still entertaining.
Apparently this book has gone out of
print and is valued as it's retail price used to be
around $16, now you can only get it used and last check
had a used one for $50.

Publication Date: Nov 2000
Price: $17.50

Info:
I can brag that I had one of the first
of these distributed to the public because I went to
a weekend workshop given by Brian and Jessica at Omega
in upstate NY about the cards. They are just the sweetest
people and this is a wonderful card deck and book. The
art is great, the cards are similar to tarot, but they
don't have suits or anything, each one is a faerie and
you read whatever you read from him/hre/it.
